The Transactional Nature of Sexual Acts
Drunky Cocamo here with a bit of an economist's take on sexual motivation:
There are theories that sex partners were created among prehistoric humans as sexually gratifying actions were motivated by a desire for shelter food and protection from predators.
The actions of animals which are characterized as instinctive may have parallel motivations.
Many of us have experienced the moments of passion where all thought of transactional sex and all need for protection are cast aside as we seek the orgasmic and emotional pleasure of lust.
Longer term relationships and other than passion driven sex acts are regarded as being of great benefit to the male and "What is in it for me?" or whatever generally cost the male sex partner or the less desirable sex partner and this is a socially accepted practice, particularly long term.
There is a dramatic reaction against certain types of transactional sexual actions as if the only possible way sexual relations should be undertaken would be through lust, love or marriage.
Marriage creates a transactional legal agreement about sex and it is absurd for the marriage contract's sexual components to be denied . Sexually gratifying acts are really mundane and not sacred precious and exclusive or subject to cancellation as a manipulative tool or emotional reaction any time a situation develops that does not work out perfectly or as desired.
